The City of Cumming and the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper Settle Lawsuit

On February 10, 2010, the City of Cumming and the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (UCR) settled a lawsuit filed against the city of Cumming for its violations of the federal Clean Water Act and the Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Act. UCR filed the lawsuit after observing violations on the site of the city's future Aquatic Center.

North Carolina EEP Update

The N.C. Ecosystem Enhancement Program is in the process of revising the April 2009 EEP Project Implementation Manual.

EEP is accept suggestions for improvements until May 14, 2010, with the goal of publishing the revised document by August 2010.

Member Meeting

GERA is holding its next Membership Meeting Thursday Jan 28th from 9am to 12pm at the Holiday Inn in Roswell on Holcomb Bridge Rd (THIS IS A NEW LOCATION). Address and directions are attached.

Please make sure to attend, as it has been several months since we last met and we have a very important agenda planned for the meeting to include:
-A review of the Association's accomplishments in 2009 and plans for 2010 (comments and new ideas welcomed!)
-Committee & Financial Reports
